Caro Thompson Jackson is a native of Fort Worth and a descendant of 2 pioneer families. She and her husband Don moved to Rockport, Texas in 1997, and Caro began painting in 2000. After several workshops with artists from Texas and New Mexico, she has developed a style full of motion and color with a touch of whimsy. Caro concentrates on landscapes in oil, especially those of West Texas and the mountains but is enjoying playing with some Fort Worth cityscapes.
“I have always been exposed to art, having grown up in Fort Worth in an artistic family.” I am drawn to the Impressionists and love experimenting with color. I can’t keep my brush strokes away from vibrant color with a simplistic approach to scenes.”
Fort Worth Spring Gallery Night on March 27th, 2021 kicks off Spring Gallery Week! Many exhibitions open to the public, and some available virtually.
